
On May 14–17, 2025, pioneering urban planners and architectural studios gathered in Singapore for the global Eco-Urbanism Forum to evaluate the real-world impact of high-density biophilic design. Set against the backdrop of the city's iconic integrated green superstructures, the four-day convention moved beyond theoretical sustainability to dissect case studies of vertical forests, living facades, and passive cooling infrastructures. Participants explored how integrating complex root systems and native flora directly into concrete structural matrices can drastically reduce the urban heat island effect while actively restoring local biodiversity. By analyzing the long-term lifecycle of these living installations, the event established a new blueprint for carbon-neutral developments—proving that tomorrow's dense metropolises can breathe in tandem with nature.
