Central Times occupies a tight infill site in Paris, where the brief called for maximum floor area without the building overwhelming its street. The response was a single disciplined gesture: a facade grid of slender vertical mullions, repeated without variation from base to crown, giving the tower a quiet, almost typographic rhythm against the sky.

Floor plates were kept column-free at the perimeter, freeing up uninterrupted office space and allowing the curtain wall to read as a continuous surface rather than a stack of individual floors. The restraint of the facade was deliberate — in a district full of competing architectural statements, the building's presence comes from consistency rather than spectacle.

At street level, the grid steps back to form a recessed entrance colonnade, giving pedestrians a moment of shelter and scale before the tower rises overhead. Central Times has since become a reference for how a commercial tower can hold its own through precision rather than ornament.
